The Juice Round make a splash at the 2021 Footprint Awards

Last night (Thursday, 16th September 2021), The Royal Institute of British Architects was electric as the venue saw the return of the 2021 Footprint Awards after the pandemic forced the 2020 event to go digital.
The Juice Round, launched in January of this year, was nominated for the ‘Waste Management and Reduction Award’, sponsored by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. The Juice Round was nominated along with like-minded sustainable brands.
The sustainable juice brand came runners up, falling behind All’s Well – a zero-waste neighbourhood restaurant based in Hackney, London. The panel of judges included Julie Barker, Dave Gudgeon, Mike Hanson, Emma Hill, Glenn Roberts, Steve Travis and Justin Turquet.
Sylvia Garvin, the creator of The Juice Round, said: “We want to thank the Footprint Awards and judging panel for our nomination. We were honoured to be featured alongside so many established brands. It’s a huge achievement to be recognised for our efforts so early on in our journey. Being a finalist in these prestigious awards is a great marker of the success we’ve enjoyed in a short space of time.
Our belief is that as a drinks producer we must take responsibility for our own waste and make reusing the norm. As both suppliers and consumers, we need to start seeing packaging as a valuable asset and not as a disposable commodity.”
